Chris’ previous business experience includes President of a broadcast television system integration company in Hollywood, various roles in production and post-production of films and videos made for TV, and General Manager in charge of strategic planning and marketing for a commercial division of Panasonic.
Believing strongly in “giving back” to your community, Chris has participated in nonprofits throughout his life. He has extensive nonprofit leadership, governance, and process expertise learned from positions of responsibility on the Stevenson School Board of Trustees, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Board (past Chairman), Hollywood Police Advisory Board (past Chairman), Hollywood Sign Trust overseeing the preservation of the world famous Hollywood Sign (Chairman), and the Monterey Peninsula Country Club (past Board member) with past roles on the Finance, Admissions, and Long Range Planning committees.
Chris attended the Robert Louis Stevenson School in Pebble Beach during the ’60s, went on to UC Berkeley and UCLA for an undergraduate degree in 1973, then received a MBA at Stanford University in 1976.
Chris and his wife Carrie live in Pebble Beach where they take advantage of all that the lifestyle on this beautiful peninsula has to offer including food, wine tasting, golf, fishing, scuba diving and motorcycling.

Carrie grew up in Santa Fe, NM and received a B.S. in Math with a minor in Physics from Texas Tech University. Prior to real estate, Carrie’s career included director level positions at Sony Electronics, Xerox Corporation, Safeway Inc, and Lucasfilm Entertainment applying her reengineering, project management, and operations management expertise to making executive teams’ strategic plans come true.
Carrie got her real estate license in 2005 and fulfilled her own dream of living fulltime in Pebble Beach and joining her husband, Chris Baumgart, as business partners. She found her project management skills to be a perfect fit with what it takes to be successful in real estate, and that helping sellers and buyers achieve new chapters in their lives is immensely gratifying.
Living in the Country Club West area and being a member of Monterey Peninsula Country Club as well as The Beach and Tennis Club have provided the opportunity to develop a rich understanding of Pebble Beach. Carrie has served on the MPCC Finance Committee, as Secretary on the WGA Board, and Chair of the ladies’ 9-hole golf program.
What matters most to Carrie is creating a bond of trust with all parties involved in a transaction. She is a savvy negotiator and problem solver known for being the calming effect when things get stressful. She pays attention to each client’s communication style and customizes the experience ranging from those who like details, analyses, and constant updates to those who want the big picture and light contact. Carrie is a master at keeping clients and other agents informed every step of the way throughout the real estate transaction while managing the complex details seamlessly.
